Music & Dance

Twin arts of concentration and expression — taught by trained teachers, performed with joy.

Since 2010 · All-round development

Where rhythm trains body and mind

VBV, as an esteemed institution, introduced Music and Dance as co-curricular activities in 2010 to support all-round development alongside academic excellence. Dance is a performing art — a sequence of movements that is a twin art of Music, because one needs knowledge of music to compose or perform it. It improves concentration, and gives exercise not only to the body but also to the eyes. Music, in turn, relaxes the mind; dance relaxes both body and mind.

In our school, children learn different dance forms according to age and occasion — classical, semi- classical, folk, filmy-folk, fusion and more — taught by trained and experienced teachers. Students rehearse, perform at assemblies and annual programmes, and learn to listen, move and create together.
